In game one of Rebel 8 vs MChess 5.0, Rebel won the game without ever leaving its opening book. All I was stating is that any program, reguardless of its rating, playing the same opening line that Rebel played would have had the same results if MChess were to resign again. However, if MChess had not resigned, and finally found a good reply, that is another question. Bill
