Dear Alan and Gentlemen, That awful eTrust program may have screwed up my computer. I can't get a proper boot anymore. The system gives me some strange code and I see eTrust in that code twice. it's telling me that something to do with eTrust's code prevents me from getting a proper boot. It then askes me to push any key to continue...then it usually crashes. ;-( I have to enter in "Safe Mode" just to get into my computer. That's unaceptable. Meanwhile, I bought McAfee. Good news, the new version, just like the free version, found my virus. When I went to delete it, it said it can't be deleted or cleaned (whatever cleaned means and how does that differ from deleted?). However I could quarantine it, so I did. While in Quarantine, I was allowed to delete it. But when I searched for the virus in my C drive, it was still there. So I assumed that there was something faulty in McAfee's delete process so next time, I just put it into Quarantine. But when I went to look for the virus, it was still in its normal location. In short, McAfee is great in detecting this virus, but worthless in doing anything to it. Meanwhile, I can't get a decent boot/reboot on my computer now - just a blank screen. I think this is due to that buggy eTrust anti-virus system. What do I do next, guys? I'm a computer dummy, but I do want to have a working computer. Thanks in advance. Stephen
