The arguments make some sense to me so I was just wondering out loud if Shredder might be stronger on SSDF if they released a version without SMP support. You can certainly change the # of threads in Deep Fritz or Deep Junior to 1 also, but the claim is that they will perform slightly slower than the versions with no SMP support in the code at all. Perhaps the authors could weigh in?
