My whole point James was that Rebel beat MChess without ever leaving its opening
book. I agree with you that chess knowledge is where it is at. At some itme in
the future better designed algorithms will make all programs run faster.
And even if doesn't, once you find the perfect knowledge, then you will not have
to search to a greater depth to beat you opponents, unless they share that
knowledge with you. Optimizing it what it is all about.
