hi

I have not really taken in the full playchess experience. probably i've been on
it less than 2 or 3 hours though i've logged in several times over the last 2
years. For one its hard to understand how to do things for a newbie, not a
critque i'm sure i could learn more with incentive and basic things like playing
a game are not to hard to do.

What i'm wondering about is what is playchess's stance or support for chess
engine authors. I cant afford to join every server but i'd like to have pulsar
playing on as many servers as possible assuming its worth playing there.

I wrote playchess 2 days ago asking if they gave free author accounts to fritz
interface compatible programs. No response yet. I'd be interested in buying
fritz 8 but i dont want to establish a presence there and have to pay each year
to keep it. Mind you if i was playing there i'd expect to play but i only want
an account for my bot pulsar. Hopefully soon there will be a release version and
it will be compatible with fritz. It allready seems to work in fritz 6. I'm not
a cheapskate. I spent 150 bucks in 97 on fritz 5. I'll probably buy more
products in the future.

Anyway can someone from playchess lay out their policy on computer accounts for
fritz compatible independently written programs.

thanks
Mike Adams
