Lex thanks got it working now. I might have a few more questions down the road about how chess partner implements the winboard protocol. It works on the internet but i notice it leaves it in force mode in at home games. Maybe i'm missing something. Anyway when i have a more refined question i'll ask. My goal is to follow the winboard protocol well enough to work with any major interface. thanks Mike Adams
