The (shouted) headline of your post certainly attracted my attention. The simple points I was making were: SCO are not contending that Linux is UNIX, as far as I can tell. Even if the Linux kernel contains code from UNIX it seems that it is not necessarily clear that this is copyright theft because, for example, it may already have been release under GPL via Caldera Linux, it may have come from Linux, or it may have a common heritage in BSD. Some seem to be suggesting that parts of UNIX contains (block copied) Linux kernel code. I am a novice about all this, but interested. You are obviously driven by this subject. Since it is off topic for CCC, any continuation should perhaps be in CTF. (I did raise it there a while ago, but got few comments. I think there is more at stake here than copyright theft, which is nevertheless wrong.).
