We are not talking about Junior 8 here. This was obviously a major Bug and the
fix was absolutely necessary. Someone reported a loss on time in no more than 23
moves.

This is sad news for several reasons.
First of all Chessbase might decide to release only a CB-native version and not
the expected UCI and Winboard compatible version.
This would mean that you are not able to use Gandalf in Chess Assistant 7.1,
SCID or Shredder classic.
Even if they will release such a version you still have to pay also for the
Fritz GUI.
Many own already enough Fritz GUIs.
You would rather pay this money for other GUIs i.e. for Chesspartner.
