(Title based on a chess book iirc) ;-) And since Junior is World Champion, here is the notation of an incredible short game from the match vs Hiarcs 8, who obviously chose a very unfortunate opening line: [Event "Match"] [Site "Oer-Erkenschwick (Germany)"] [Date "2003"] [Round "15"] [White "Junior 8"] [Black "Hiarcs 8"] [Result "*"] [Eco ""] [Annotator ""] [Source ""] 1.d4 d5 2.c4 c6 3.Nc3 dxc4 4.e4 b5 5.a4 b4 6.Na2 e5 7.Nf3 b3 8.Nc3 exd4 9.Bxc4 dxc3 10.Bxf7+ Ke7 11.Qxb3 Nf6 12.Be3 Qa5 13.O-O cxb2 14.Rad1 b1B 15.e5 Nd5 16.Rxd5 cxd5 17.Bxd5 h6 18.Rxb1 Nd7 19.Bxa8 Nxe5 20.Qb8 * Junior 8 had to calculate beginning at move #8, Hiarcs from #9. Basically the position after Bxf7+ is in favour of white, at 15.e5 Junior already showed an eval of +5.62 and Hiarcs -3.23. At least when Hiarcs showed -7.29 for 18...Nd7 I could/should have interrupted the game and start a new one. Not bad, nowadays only few (computer-)games are decided before move number 20. In the meantime Hiarcs gave up after 20...Nxf3+ 21.Bxf3. What I realized in Junior 8: The evals have reached normal values, while Junior 7 very seldom got higher than +3 or lower than -3... ;-)
