Subject: Making a dedicated autoplayer machine....

Hey Everyone,

Just putting together a new machine which I intend using to test my chess
engine, Bodo.

Suprisingly cheap too, ended up costing me 750 AU dollars for a Athlon 2500+,
512Meg Corsair, 80 gig hdd, Floppy and CDROM drives, Nforce2 mobo, and a cheapy
case! A very good time to buy AMD, especially being a low income earning uni
student like me. :)

But anyhow, I would like to be pointed in the right direction by some
programmers/engine testers as to how I go about setting up my machine, and my
engine to play on FICS.

Currently my engine has limited support of the Winboard protocol. I really have
no clue what I need to do, how I should register, etc etc.

If someone could point me to a few links which give me more information, or give
a quick overview of what I need to do, I would be most appreciative. I am not at
all experienced with these online chess playing services!

If anyone is interested, I should be releasing a version of my program in the
next couple of weeks.

Thanks,
Joel
