You can not buy the engine without GUI. So you have to spend part of the money
for the GUI. Quite logical...

UCI engines,many winboard engines and also MCS engines can not be used in the
Chessbase database program.

I have orderd Chess Assistant 7 but I dont think I will be able to use Tiger 15
or Gambit Tiger III in any other GUI.

Have you ever been successful in connecting to ICC or FICS with your Chessbase
GUI?
