The only changes we made to the default personalities were to up the hash table allocation to 64 MB, and change the selective search values to 9. Other than those changes, all of the settings for the four personalities (Alekhine, Botvinnik, Fischer and Chessmaster -- in that order) were default. The "strongest personality" in CM9000 completely depends on what you want to do and how fast your computer is. Analysis? Long time controls? P3-750MHz or P4-3.0GHz? I can't answer this question unless you give me more information. However, all else being equal, the Chessmaster personality is the strongest of all personalities that come with the game. If you want to change the personalities, just go to "Game -> New Game" (CTRL+N), choose the button that looks like a computer (there are two, one for white and one for black), and then click the "Select" button. This will bring up the "Select Personality" dialog, in which you can choose any personality you like to play that side of the game. jm
