So Shredder can also claim a win :-) I know that this is not perfectly fine, but it helps to reduce testing time and I think 7 pawns ahead should be enough. If somebody doesn't like this, he can just switch this feature off, it is optional. I have tested the final position of this particular game with a beta version of Shredder3, the results for Shredder2 should be similar. I used a P166 with small hash tables, for a P200MMX just divide the times by 2. Here is the output: 4.02 0:00.43 -0.12 24.Sh6+ Kg7 25.Dxf7+ Kxh6 26.Df6+ Kh5 27.Df7+ Kh4 28.Dxh7+ Kg3 29.Txc2 Dxb3 (8.718) 20.1 4 -> 0:00.56 -0.12 24.Sh6+ Kg7 25.Dxf7+ Kxh6 26.Df6+ Kh5 27.Df7+ Kh4 28.Dxh7+ Kg3 29.Txc2 Dxb3 (11.056) 19.6 5.01 0:00.84 -0.12 24.Sh6+ Kg7 25.Dxf7+ Kxh6 26.Df6+ Kh5 27.Df7+ Kh4 28.Dxh7+ Kg3 29.Txc2 Dxb3 (18.409) 21.7 5 -> 0:01.22 -0.12 24.Sh6+ Kg7 25.Dxf7+ Kxh6 26.Df6+ Kh5 27.Df7+ Kh4 28.Dxh7+ Kg3 29.Txc2 Dxb3 (28.725) 23.4 6.01 0:03.08 0.00 24.Sh6+ Kg7 25.Dxf7+ Kxh6 26.Txc2 dxe3 27.Df6+ Kh5 28.Df7+ Kh6 29.Df6 (78.189) 25.3 6 -> 0:06.08 0.00 24.Sh6+ Kg7 25.Dxf7+ Kxh6 26.Txc2 dxe3 27.Df6+ Kh5 28.Df7+ Kh6 29.Df6 (152.463) 25.0 7.01 0:06.73 +0.25++ 24.Sh6+ (165.798) 24.6 7.01 0:08.96 +0.74 24.Sh6+ Kg7 25.Dxf7+ Kxh6 26.Txc2 Le8 27.Df8+ Kh5 28.g4+ Kh4 29.Dh6+ Lh5 30.exd4 Dd7 (222.021) 24.7 7 -> 0:10.29 +0.74 24.Sh6+ Kg7 25.Dxf7+ Kxh6 26.Txc2 Le8 27.Df8+ Kh5 28.g4+ Kh4 29.Dh6+ Lh5 30.exd4 Dd7 (258.383) 25.1 8.01 0:17.86 +0.99++ 24.Sh6+ (422.956) 23.6 8.01 0:31.44 +1.49++ 24.Sh6+ (689.710) 21.9 8.01 0:41.64 +4.24 24.Sh6+ Kg7 25.Dxf7+ Kxh6 26.Txc2 Lxh3 27.Tc7 Dxc7 28.Dxc7 Txb3 29.Dc6+ Kg7 30.Dxe4 (892.030) 21.4 8 -> 0:42.29 +4.24 24.Sh6+ Kg7 25.Dxf7+ Kxh6 26.Txc2 Lxh3 27.Tc7 Dxc7 28.Dxc7 Txb3 29.Dc6+ Kg7 30.Dxe4 (909.918) 21.5 9.01 0:48.36 +4.24 24.Sh6+ Kg7 25.Dxf7+ Kxh6 26.Txc2 Lxh3 27.Tc7 Dxc7 28.Dxc7 Txb3 29.Dc6+ Kg7 30.Dxe4 (1.034.361) 21.3 9 -> 0:52.09 +4.24 24.Sh6+ Kg7 25.Dxf7+ Kxh6 26.Txc2 Lxh3 27.Tc7 Dxc7 28.Dxc7 Txb3 29.Dc6+ Kg7 30.Dxe4 (1.134.802) 21.7 10.01 1:11.88 +4.24 24.Sh6+ Kg7 25.Dxf7+ Kxh6 26.Txc2 Lxh3 27.Tc7 Dxc7 28.Dxc7 Txb3 29.Dc6+ Kg7 30.Dxe4 (1.671.994) 23.2 10 -> 1:18.58 +4.24 24.Sh6+ Kg7 25.Dxf7+ Kxh6 26.Txc2 Lxh3 27.Tc7 Dxc7 28.Dxc7 Txb3 29.Dc6+ Kg7 30.Dxe4 (1.885.798) 23.9 11.01 1:40.96 +4.49++ 24.Sh6+ (2.300.504) 22.7 11.01 2:46.23 +4.84 24.Sh6+ Kg7 25.Dxf7+ Kxh6 26.Txc2 Lxh3 27.Tc7 Dxc7 28.Dxc7 Txb3 29.Dd6+ Kh5 30.Sd2 Txe3 (3.803.003) 22.8 11 -> 3:04.57 +4.84 24.Sh6+ Kg7 25.Dxf7+ Kxh6 26.Txc2 Lxh3 27.Tc7 Dxc7 28.Dxc7 Txb3 29.Dd6+ Kh5 30.Sd2 Txe3 (4.325.837) 23.4 12.01 5:49.70 +5.09++ 24.Sh6+ (7.665.836) 21.9 12.01 6:50.73 +5.59++ 24.Sh6+ (8.963.627) 21.8 12.01 24:33.71 +14.66 24.Sh6+ Kg7 25.Dxf7+ Kxh6 26.Df6+ Kh5 27.g4+ Kh4 28.Txc2 Dc6 29.Txc6 dxe3 30.Kh2 Lxg4 31.Dd6 (34.651.122) 23.5 12 -> 25:06.29 +14.66 24.Sh6+ Kg7 25.Dxf7+ Kxh6 26.Df6+ Kh5 27.g4+ Kh4 28.Txc2 Dc6 29.Txc6 dxe3 30.Kh2 Lxg4 31.Dd6 (35.737.226) 23.7 Bester Zug: Sf5-h6 Zeit: 25:23.183 min K/s: 23.727 Knoten: 36.141.415 Bewertungstabellentreffer 21%; Such/Bewertungstabellen zu 100% / 100% voll (sorry for using the German version of Shredder, S means N, D means Q, T means R and L means B) So according to Shredder, this position is clearly won. Hope this helps Stefan
