a pin or "pinning" is the name of a tactical motif in English language. Similar
motives are called "skewer" and "x-ray attack."
Please forgive my playful language with you in the earlier post. I do not wish
to mislead or confuse you friend. -marc
pinning in french is 'clovage' or literally 'nailing' in English, right?
