Hi Roger,

>Is it possible to design a Winboard-compatible interface in Visual Basic 6?

of course that's possible - a year ago I have started myself one - but it was
just intended to solve testsuites. It did work quite fine, there were only some
timing issues. --> The main problem might be the i/o routine, polling it with a
timer might be to slow. That was what I was doing, using a .ocx published in
italy. If I ever will go on working on that GUI, I would write the I/O in C and
import it in VB as a .dll... or as a .ocx, not sure yet...

nothing special - if you start with the I/O routines from the italian G6_group
you should have an easy start... only the above mentioned problem with the i/o
might be a small issue. But when starting that's not so important, you can
exchange the i/o later.

In fact to create a nice looking i/o FAST I usually would prefer VB... it's
soooooooooooooooo easy... :)
