It has ended Star Diamond - Chess Tiger 15 8.0-4.0, so the Star Diamond might be stronger than expected at first. Genius 4 on 486 played 9 games here against Chess Tiger 14.9/15 on my Palm Vx and won them all without any problems, so it looks like a nice upper bound. In case the Star Diamond gets smashed by Genius this would be interesting information. If it manages to score fairly well but still loses ( expected result), another match against Comet or Yace (that already played the Tiger) could give some guesstimate about "real" rating. If the Star Diamond manages to even hold or win against Genius, it's time to look for some tougher opponent. It's no scientific approach but I try to do with as few games as possible. Anyway, I might lose interest - so don't hold your breath :) All the best, Peter
