Everything from now on is pure Palm or PocketPC (ignoring PC programs of course). This Star Diamond/Sapphire was expected to ship over 2 years ago. It may have done well in the market at that time. It may even do well now. But the pervasiveness of portable Palms/PC's and their strength tells me that the next step (Hmm, what should we put into the Star Diamond II?) will never be taken. I think they came out with the product because it was in the pipeline for quite some time, and I don't think they will go through the trouble to make another version. Just my opinion, though. Even if it does moderately well, I think this is the last strong dedicated chess computer that will ever come out.
