tell you friend to send you the file as a pgn database- it is one file and requires no special knowledge on his part. that is assuming your friend can create and open a pgn base, then save the game into it. another simple possbility, your friend can 'print the game to disk' then send you an rtf file which you can edit back to pgn. but cbv is the best for a whole database. but you said one game-- these other methods are fine. cheers, marc
