I've seen games of this sort with exchanges of heavy pieces referred to as
sterile games, in that there is really nothing left to play for. The
exchanges along the open file and the resulting lack of pawn breaks
is at times unaviodable. However this does expose a weakness within software
because they do not know what level of player they are up against and so always
"play the board". It's unlikely that a GM would so willingly allow such
wholesale exchanges against someone rated 600-1000 points below them.
Perhaps programs of the future will ask the opponent to input his name and
rating and then use that info to change its style of play.

On move #40 I thought that Rebel 10 might mix it up a bit with Qg1
instead of the move a5. White should still draw with best play but it
may have posed a 1500 player more problems.
