Classical chess is not mutilated by FRC. The discovery of FRC represented the
return of classical chess to its Mather Land. Because FRC contains 960 starting
positions, and classical chess starting position is only one of them. So:
classical chess is only one of FRC variants. But you are confused because we
first descovered a variant of the chess game, and only many centuries after that
we recognize that fact and descovered the generic mather game, FRC.

Classical chess is not mutilated by FRC, because it is like a child who at once
descovered his unknowen mother. This reencounter between them could never be
considered as mutilation. They, in fact, complement each other.

Shuffle chess is another complement, another parent, who remind us the time
before the invention of castling move.

Do you know the FRC castling rules ? You should read about before discussing
them.
