Subject: Rebel 10 "welcome tournament" game 2

Author: Dirk Frickenschmidt

Date: 14:48:48 10/22/98

Game 2 saw Fritz5 striking back, but only after leaving book with a clear plus
in a sharp Nimzoindian (attack for pawn sacrifice in move 14).

While the closest human game Lugovoi (Elo 2500) against Aseev (Elo 2560),
Russian championship Elista 1996, was lost for black as well (despite higher
Elo), and just as most games in this for black questionable variation, Fritz5
played the new and strong move Qc2 out of book, also aiming at the weak black
kingside.

Rebel10 had no big chance to escape this attack.
Jeroen, please recheck! ;-)
