Even if they are producing lower 'rated' chips, they have the fastest cores available "marked down" to that speed. Some of the Athlon XP 1700+ chips have 2.4GHz cores, and run that absolutely flawlessly. I get these chips hand-picked. Now, if you got one of the very first Palomino Athlon XP 1700+ chips you'll probably have a hard time getting it above 1.65GHz.
