Right. At the moment I'm working with a base 1960-69. The steps for killing
doubles I followed were these:
1) CB8 - Similar names - similiar moves - ignore result/year/tournaments.
2) CB8 - Ignore names - exact moves - ignore result/year/tournaments.
(and have a look at the clipboard)
3) SCID - Criteria - checked yes for "same moves" and "first 4 letters only".
Then check out the suggested twins.
4) A couple of runs in CA - then checking the proposed doubles.
There are also other ways of course, like some PGN-utilities.
