Instead of Jin (Java dependent), try and get Eboard 8.0,and download the
corresponding timeseal.Linux 386i and you are all set.  No problems with Eboard.
 If you have questions, just ask Pulga on Fics (the author).  Or, compile Xboard
with the zippy functions and let your dad use that good and stable client -- it
is just perfect.
