Ok, your point this time, but then please tell me what you think about the following confession and attitude-- http://www.talkchess.com/forums/1/message.html?303052 Would you say that this is a human decent attitude? I hope not. Just to describe the problems we have. BTW, I am not a technical expert, but the date I've read in your so called famous Sylvester email with all the data added is clearly a proof against Thomas Mayer. And I think he also has apologized for the shit. I think we must accept that many people in our field have a split image of their own personality. 1.) Being a good guy, helping the community with free tools, explaining difficult topics, telefoning for hours with "friends" ad so on and on the same time--- 2.) Being a bad guy, initiating flame wars against the same "friends" from above in 1), faking data, cheating whole messages, stimulating hatred among the peers, defaming a hosting company, enjoying the alleged helplessness ---- all this, what qualified you as psychopathic personality in real life is apparently well possible in the virtual world of the internet. In special in people who suffer from lack of a serious job or education. The frightening aspect is that these are not kids, we dont speak about 13 years old kids, these persons are 25, 30 and 35 years old! It's a serious problem for the whole community. Again, I still think that you in such a leading company or also the journal, which is also a leader, you have a kind of responsibility which you can accept in your forum, where such people by force show up. And if you would react in a sophisticated manner, you would help these few people very much. They need respect and a task or duty. Now in that regard you must have plenty! BTW the whole idea does NOT depend on MONEY, I am talking about duties and goals and the feeling of having friends/collegues who care for you. If that happened, these few would no longer run amok and behave against their OWN good sides, see above my two points 1) and 2). So I am talking about social responsibility. And that would be a good sign. ChessBase for instance issponsoring the USA women team!!! FINE! But all these women are well integrated persons. But what does ChessBase/CSS do with people like Mayer or Quisinsky?? Outcasting them, scapegoating them? Finally. I write that in public because your "chief" DS could NOT understand it via email exchange. He simply didn't understand because that is all with too little technical & business aspects. But you? With your psychological education? No irony! Perhaps you can grasp what I am trying to say. And dont forget. This is NOT something you can read in already published books. This is something new and thought provoking. Rolf > >Chr.
