Whenever I connect to ICC or play a local game with my engine, I think that
maybe it's time to start my own client. But since it's a rather big project, I
find something else to do instead. :p

Personally, I'd like to separate such a project in some sub-projects. For
example one subproject could be a parser/interpreter of the ICC stuff received,
another could be a technical layer which abstracts the communication between the
local machine and ICC, etc etc. Many of these things could be general libraries,
only the frontend part would have to be platform dependent.

Hm.. I guess I'm rambling, sorry :)
