You can definitely do this in Chessmaster 9000. In the Game Room, simply right-click on the board and choose "Set Up Position". Set up the position the way you want it, and press OK. Then, choose "Set Up Game" (CTRL+G), and set either or both players to be human/computer. Make sure to set the time controls also, making sure to NOT use the "Infinite" time control if you want the computer to make a move; that time control is only for "infinite analysis". That should do the trick. jm
