In 1998, DB solved the following position in 5 seconds...

Everyone pretty much agreed, it'd be a while before micro's found it.

Fritz did.  In about 4 hours.
Rebel 10 did.  In just over 10 minutes.
Tascbase did (on a K6/300).  In just over 8 minutes.


SO, how about TODAY?  5 years later...

Crafty couldn't solve it in 10 minutes.
Fritz 6 couldn't solve it in 10 minutes.
Shredder 7.04 did.  In 3:37.
(All run on a P4 3.06Ghz.)


Anyone else want to give it a stab?
