Good luck with Arena.  In my opinion, the only thing that makes it tollerable is
the fact that it's free.  But I still hardly ever use it.  No, I'm not defending
Chessbase.  I agree about the GUI.  The database functions need fixing.  I also
hate the nag boxes when playing auto232 games.  It seems that Chessbase missed
the point of automatically playing games between two computers.  The idea of
course was to let the computers play games while you are free to do something
else and can check the games later in "quick time".  But of course in their
wisdom they decided the best thing to do when something goes wrong is to stop
everything and do nothing.  I have also nagged Chessbase about the problems with
the databases but their answer was "have you downloaded the latest update?"
