Subject: Programmers Should Take A Cue From Chessmaster

Author: Dana Turnmire

I have been testing different settings for Chess Genius 7 and have found a
couple so far that seem a bit stronger than the default. I believe any program
could be improved upon in this way. I find it strange that all programs don't
allow creating new personalities considering the popularity of the chessmaster
series. I believe Ed Shroeder even offered a reward for those who found the
strongest settings in Rebel. This would also be a great help for amateur
programmers it seems by allowing the public to play with different settings
which not only would be a lot of fun but could help the programmer himself with
further development. Just a thought.
