I think that the ChessBase top programs are excellent.  They are damn strong,
the best one can find, with only a few exceptions (Ruffian, King, Rebel and a
couple of other mavericks...).  The problem lies not in the programs or
programmers.  It lies elsewhere and it would take me a lot of time to expound
what I have in mind.  But, you are German, and you have probably seen Werner
Herzog's film on Kaspar Hauser.  He treated this general issue so well there.
