I flirted unsuccessfully with the two ideas in Game-Tree Pruning by Bjornsson and Marslands (Information Sciences Vol 122(1) pp23-41), but have not tried MultiProbCut. I downloaded Bruno's paper, but when I tried to extract it got only multiple copies of page 1. Can anyone suggest a fix? The paper I downloaded was chessmpc.ps.gz When I decompress it (using gzip -d) and open it with KGhostView I seem to get 11 pages but they are page 1. Frank
