sorry for the off topic - but this could be important to you if you use Ebay at
all.

I received this message today, alledgely from Ebay - but obviously it is not
from Ebay...

this is a scam for people trying to steal your money - it's not from Ebay

the site

"http://www.ebay.com/acounts/memb/avncenter/?dll87443%2213" is non-existant -
note how accounts is mispelled.  When you click on the link you are actually
redirected to this site:

http://www.eparduotuve.lt/x/

Once you have provided this fraudalant site made to look like a real Ebay site
with your Ebay and Payal ID's and password information - kiss your money good
buy.

Best practices -

1.  Never use the links in the email and click - copy the link as text and then
paste.

2.   Never provide your account information (passwords. user ids) on request -
EVER.  They have all the information already.  If there was problem you would
have found out on the initial sign up.
