It leaves everyone thinking someone else will do it. Someone should contact Volker to see what his plans are. Perhaps he doesn't have the time or doesn't want to organize another CCT. In the future, it might be a good idea to try and formalize some things. Currently, everything rests on one unknown person to get free time in their schedule, or to get motivated. IMO, we should form a group of participants, organizers, and other people who have an interest in the event, and after each CCT, elect a few organizers (maybe three people?) for the next event, give them an approximate time frame (maybe 5-7 months after the previous CCT), and let that small group hammer things out. A small elected group seems better than one unknown person for several reasons. Three people share the load instead of one. There are probably many people who are capable and willing to help organize such an event, but many probably feel unsure about how to accomplish things. Having a small group organize the event would be beneficial because then highly motivated people with little experience could be paired with experienced organizers and still help out without making any crucial errors.
