I know from experience with old chessmaster(chessmaster6000) that it was better
than other programs in finding mates but tactics is not only mates but cases
when one side wins material not because of mate threats(I think most of the
cases).

The question is if chessmaster9000 is better also in that kind of tactics.

The way to find out is to look at positions from games when all top programs
fail high or fail low after enough time and to find if chessmaster gets the fail
high or fail low faster in most of the cases.

I have not chessmaster9000 so I do not know.
