You, once again, have no idea what you are talking about. Johan has NEVER been
told to go to a tournament or not go to a tournament. He takes The King to the
tournaments that he wants to take it to, and does not take The King to the
tournaments that he does not want to take it to. Johan has ALL of the
"influence", meaning it has ALWAYS been his decision to make.

If Johan had told us that, instead of taking his usual Amazons program to this
event, he wanted to take The King, we would have said nothing more than to wish
him good luck.

And, as for "fear", how about pitting your program on a *SINGLE* CPU P4-2.4GHz
machine against the current U.S. Champion, in a 4-game match live on ICC with
hundreds of people watching, with other GM's and IM's doing live commentary? Not
to mention winning....

And what hardware was Diep running during this game? I could look it up myself
but it appears that www.computerschaak.nl is down (and has been for a few days,
apparently)....

You are only partially correct. In the credits of Chessmaster, it clearly says
that the engine that is used in Chessmaster is called "The King", and I'm pretty
sure that even some press releases have talked about "the engine in Chessmaster,
called The King...."

Somehow, I doubt that the engine in Fritz is officially named "Quest". But it is
probably, and unfortunately, true that most users do not know the name of the
engine in Chessmaster, regardless of its recent victories.
