Yes, I agree, and that is the important distinction. There have recently been a number of posts (not surprisingly) regarding Opterons/Athlon 64s and Crafty and SPECmarks etc, but sometimes 32bit figures are being quoted and sometimes 64bit ones. Right now most of us can't do much with a 64 bit version, but I think those are the interesting figures. I want to know what difference the 64 bit code makes, and then I can spend the next x years looking forward to seeing the difference myself... Roberto/.
