Yes, of course you want the program compiled for the right processor. :-) Crafty has run on DEC/Compaq/HP 64-bit Alpha processors with very good performance, showing that it can take advantage of the "bitness". All it needs is a recompile. Just wait for a good gcc release, or Windows XP 64 with the MSVC compiler that Eugene Nalimov obviously already has. Bo Persson bop2@telia.com
