Yes, this was just a first attempt at something.  Thats what I meant when I
wanted to play with it more.  The whole thing needs to be smarter.  I don't know
about a step function, maybe it needs some encouragement in the inbetween?  But
it is definately good to wait until solid and then switch over to attacking.  I
need to think of a good way to manage this.
