Deep Junior 8.ZX doesn't make these three horible moves, even on my "slow" P-IV 1500 MHz, with 64 MiB hash tables. This of course doesn't mean that ZX is better from simple Junior, but in my opinion DJ8.ZX indeed plays better chess from DJ8, from the 30-40 games i have seen so far by both. Here plays the right move and not Kd2? in 10 seconds: [D]r1b1kb1r/pp1n3p/2p2P2/3p2p1/8/2NBP1P1/PqP2PP1/R2QK1NR w KQkq - 0 1 Analysis by Deep Junior 8.ZX: 12.Nc3-b5 c6xb5 13.Qd1-h5+ Ke8-d8 = (0.24) Depth: 3 00:00:00 12.Nc3-e2 Qb2xf6 13.Bd3xh7 ² (0.59) Depth: 3 00:00:00 12.Ng1-e2 Bf8-b4 ² (0.65) Depth: 3 00:00:00 1kN 12.Ng1-e2 Bf8-b4 13.Ra1-b1 Bb4xc3+ 14.Ke1-f1 Qb2-a3 15.Rb1-b3 Qa3-f8 16.Ne2xc3 Nd7xf6 ± (0.79) Depth: 6 00:00:00 11kN 12.Ng1-e2! ± (1.09) Depth: 9 00:00:00 256kN 12.Ke1-d2! ± (1.29) Depth: 9 00:00:01 581kN 12.Ke1-d2 Nd7xf6 13.Ra1-b1 Qb2-a3 14.Bd3-g6+ Ke8-d8 15.Rb1-b3 Qa3-a5 16.Qd1-f3 +- (1.51) Depth: 9 00:00:01 581kN 12.Ke1-d2 Nd7xf6 13.Ra1-b1 Qb2-a3 14.Ng1-f3 Qa3-a5 15.Nf3-e5 Bf8-g7 16.Qd1-f3 ² (0.53) Depth: 12 00:00:07 5639kN 12.Ng1-e2 Nd7xf6 13.Bd3-g6+ Ke8-d8 14.Ra1-b1 Qb2-a3 15.Qd1-d3 Bf8-g7 16.Rb1-b3 Qa3-a5 17.Bg6xh7 Nf6-e4 18.a2-a4 ± (0.80) Depth: 12 00:00:10 5639kN 12.Ng1-e2 Nd7xf6 ² (0.50) Depth: 15 00:02:21 113370kN -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Avoids the bad Nf3? in 46 seconds: [D]r1b1kb1r/pp5p/2p2n2/3p2p1/8/q1NBP1P1/P1PK1PP1/1R1Q2NR w kq - 0 1 Analysis by Deep Junior 8.ZX: 14.e3-e4 Bc8-g4 ³ (-0.60) Depth: 3 00:00:00 14.f2-f4 Bc8-g4 ³ (-0.39) Depth: 3 00:00:00 14.f2-f3 Bf8-b4 ³ (-0.33) Depth: 3 00:00:00 14.Ng1-f3 h7-h6 ² (0.34) Depth: 3 00:00:00 14.Bd3-g6+ Ke8-e7 ² (0.50) Depth: 3 00:00:00 14.Bd3-g6+ Ke8-d8 15.Ng1-f3 = (-0.16) Depth: 6 00:00:00 7kN 14.Qd1-f3 Qa3-d6 15.Bd3-f5 c6-c5 = (0.11) Depth: 6 00:00:00 17kN 14.Ng1-f3 Qa3-a5 15.Nf3xg5 ² (0.50) Depth: 6 00:00:00 18kN 14.Ng1-f3 Bc8-g4 15.Qd1-c1 0-0-0 16.Qc1xa3 Bf8xa3 17.Nf3xg5 ² (0.49) Depth: 9 00:00:00 189kN 14.Ng1-f3 Bf8-b4 15.Rb1-b3 Qa3-a5 16.Rb3xb4 Qa5xb4 17.Nf3xg5 0-0 18.Qd1-b1 Qb4xb1 19.Nc3xb1 h7-h5 ³ (-0.30) Depth: 12 00:00:12 10105kN 14.Ng1-h3 Bc8-g4 15.Qd1-c1 Qa3-a5 16.f2-f3 d5-d4 17.e3xd4 Nf6-d5 18.Rh1-e1+ Bf8-e7 19.Re1xe7+ Ke8xe7 20.Rb1xb7+ Ke7-f8 21.f3xg4 Qa5xc3+ ³ (-0.26) Depth: 12 00:00:43 16277kN 14.Ng1-e2 Bf8-g7 15.Ne2-d4 0-0 16.Nd4-f3 Nf6-e4+ 17.Nc3xe4 Qa3-a5+ 18.Kd2-c1 Qa5-a3+ = (0.00) Depth: 12 00:00:46 35815kN 14.Ng1-e2 Bf8-g7 15.f2-f4 Nf6-e4+ 16.Bd3xe4 d5xe4 17.Rb1-b3 Qa3-e7 18.Kd2-c1 0-0 19.Rh1-h5 Rf8-f5 ³ (-0.54) Depth: 15 00:03:38 175741kN 14.Rb1-b3 Qa3-a5 15.Kd2-e1 Bf8-g7 16.Qd1-d2 g5-g4 17.Nc3-e4 Qa5xd2+ 18.Ne4xd2 0-0 19.Ng1-e2 ³ (-0.34) Depth: 15 00:05:49 175741kN ------------------------------------------------------------------ Plays the right Rb3 and avoids the Nxg5? in 4 minutes while Junior 8 needs 25 minutes on a PIV 1800MHz.
