I'm not sure of the speed of cpus in the 80s but if I remember in 89 we still had 8086s in schools at only 10MHz. A machine 300 times faster would cost a bomb back then. Not sure how much, but loads. How much would people be willing to pay for a 1800 GHz PC today?
