Analog clocks are usuallu a little less expensive. The ones in wood housing
look very nice. Digital clocks can be more expensive. They usually have a
plastic shell.

Digital

1. More accurate - if you play blitz that could be important.

2. The newer ones handle Fischer, Bronstein and other nifty time controls that
can not be handled by an analog.

3. Some of the Digital , like DGT, can handle all sorts of time controls that
can be set once before the game start. For example 40/80/SD/30 or 40/80/15/30
with the 15/30 repeating.

Analog

1. Not as accurate unless you get a quartz analog (not sure if anybody makes
one).

2. Sometimes, it it housed in a nice wood case.

3. Clock must be reset for each time control.

4. They do not handle Fischer, etc time variants.
