1gb is fine. You would have had a lot more bang for your buck going AMD for chess programs. CB8.0 & Powerbook 2003 will serve you well. Fritz8 has probably the best evaluations of any engine, and is in the tops of currently available engines. Will be great for analysis. If you have a fast internet connection, you may regret getting the endgame turbo package since you can download those for free (7gb total, so it certainly would have been a long download.) Sounds like you've got a good selection of Chessbase software, but I would add Chessmaster 9000 into your shopping cart. If one of the reasons you're buying all of this is to help your over-the-board play, there's a lot of value in the CM9000 package for that.
