With 1 GB RAM you can allow up to 768 GB Hash without problems. This is enough for any time-control. Only for really long analysis (24 hours or longer) more Hash might (!) speed up the search a little bit. But it's hardly measurable. So 1 Gig is fine, another Gig is useful if you are working on your PC while you analyses games. regards Joachim
