I would _not_ put those in the crafty.rc file.  That is for _initialization_
only.  When it executes those things, not everything is set up, and it will
cause problems.

Create a batch file and put the annotate commands on stdin where they should
be and this ought to work fine.

In unix:

crafty <<EOF
annotate <etc>
annotate <etc>
annotate <etc>
quit
EOF

would do the trick.
