Hi Recently I am trying to get the KnightCap up and running, but there are problems: 1) Windows version (compiled by Dann Corbit) is not stable – I can run it both in a console and winboard, but there are problems with brain.dat When I start the progam in console, it does not create any brain.dat itself. Maybe it is not supposed to. I have to create an empty file, name it brain.dat and then it is recognized. Program runs fine, does the mulling after each game, but I have not found any reliable method to have the brain.dat valid after I turn the program off. When I start it the next time, I see the report about „brain.dat corrupted” 2) Linux – the program compiled well, but the same problem here too - no brain.dat. And this time I can not yet figure out, how to create it. Otherwise the program starts and computes well. This is something very interesting for me. I would really appreciate any help. Didzis Cirulis
