I guess chesswise, that's all that really matters...

If you're shopping around for a pure chess machine, I'd suggest asking Aaron
Gordon about overclocked Dual AMD Athlon MP's. AMD wins hands down for
price/performance. I had reasons outside of chess for paying the extra $$$ for
the Xeons.
