You seem to have solved your problem by now. However, you might still find the method I am using helpful. Under Options, make sure, that "Save settings on Exit" is checked. Now set the other Options (especially time control) to your liking. Make sure that under Options->General "Popup Exit Message" is not checked. Finish Winboard, and start again with your command-line, but without the time control parameters. Regards, Dieter
