I don't remember the score, but if you look at the elo ratings on the Games I posted on Fritz 5 vs Junior 5 at 30 sec a move. The ratings difference is huge:) I played a blitz match first(so that elo is shown on the 30 sec. move games i posted) but did not post the games because it would not have been fair to Junior 5 or to Mr. Ban to do so, when I knew what the problem was. And people on CCC may not have known that Huge books can cause this when playing other programs and smaller books at blitz speeds. [Event "30"av"] [Site "?"] [Date "1998.10.24"] [Round "10"] [White "Junior 5.0"] [Black "Fritz 5.00/16Bit"] [Result "0-1"][ECO "C82"] [WhiteElo "2430"]................This was Junior 5's rating after the first blitz match I rejected. [BlackElo "2576"]................This was Fritz 5's [PlyCount "92"] I don't have the games to show you, because I deleted them after seeing the problem. > > >>In the blitz match both programs played the same opening position as white >and >>black. > >>Fritz 5 8W 7L 9D > >>Junior5 7W 8L 9D > >You said in the past that at fast time control Fritz5(16 bit) is worse than >fritz5.03. >It even lost in the nunn match against Junior4.6 in the games that you posted. > >do you have the same opinion or maybe the version is not the same version? I am not sure if its the same or not, I had to play this version fritz 5 that came with junior 5 to play the match. I would also play 5.16 anyways in testing, because that is the latest version, and would not matter if I thought it was weaker or not. > >Uri
