Hi All! I read that MB review. The single channel mainboard don't have alot of memory capbility-- only two slots. Since the dual channel board was restricted in memory to the same 512ram for the benchmarking, the 'overhead' involved in arbitrating two channels instead of 1 non-arbitrated channel had an advantage in the test (very slight.) I say, "So what?" A skewed test. Sort of like, well If I drive a five speed car in 4th gear, how does it compare to other 4-speed cars... The test did convince me that the economy board is a good economy board, so long as you are willing to give up built in networking, probably not a good idea for a gamer... best regards, marc On July 08, 2003 at 04:57:49, Alvaro Jose Povoa Cardoso wrote: >Does anyone have any benchmarks data on Dual channel/Single channel performances >for chess. >The reason I'm asking this is that I saw some benchmarks using an Asus A7N8X 2.0 >(dual channel) agains a Soltek NV400-64 motherboard using the nForce 400 (non >Ultra = single channel).
